About Missy
Missy is a purebred American Staffordshire Terrier, four years old, brimming with affection and high spirits. Born under the sign of Virgo (dob 9/3/21), she brings plenty of lively energy to any home. Missy thrives with structure and routine, so she needs an experienced adopter who knows her breed and can offer boundaries. A securely fenced yard is non-negotiable—she plays hard and needs her space. Housebroken, crate trained, and good on a leash, Missy gets along with all dogs, both male and female. She’s got a strong love for cats, which mostly shows up as endless pestering and chasing. It’s not aggression, but a home without cats is best to avoid temptation. Missy adores affection and does great with older kids (twelve and up), but her bouncy nature means it’s better not to place her with younger children. She’s a protective housemate, quick to bark at strangers, but it’s all noise—she’s more of a deterrent than a real threat. Missy is currently waiting at the rescue facility in Batesville, AR and would love a foster home in Illinois or someone ready for her transport route. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
