UPDATE: Titan is still here, very sweet if he likes and trusts you! Again, please inquire only if you have specialized experience and / or an only dog family, maybe 1 other female dog would be alright. Titan would not do well with multiple dogs in the house, nor cats, nor farm animals. WE WANT THE VERY BEST OPPORTUNITY FOR TITAN TO SUCCEED IN A HOME, FOR HIS SAKE AND EVERYONE ELSE INVOLVED! We appreciate all concerned and tender-hearted inquiries about him, but we will be firm concerning the amount of triggers and stimuli in the new household! Thanks so much for understanding! Titan is a special needs case. He is a VERY LARGE German Shepherd Dog who has been in our care for almost 3 years. He has a bite history and so was brought to us by our local humane society, as their assessment was that he was still a great boy. He is very sweet and affectionate once he knows you, but he does not need to be put in a situation where he will be in a rivalry or with too many other triggers. He has done fine with our volunteers, who are adults and well experienced. ***TITAN NEEDS HELP FROM A SPECIALIZED GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG RESCUE***, AND HE WOULD DO BEST IN A HOME BY HIMSELF, possibly with 1 other dog, but again please, not too many triggers for him. He definitely deserves much better than we can give him. We need an expert GSD Rescue to come and help him find the right owner and home. We are INUNDATED with dogs needing homes, and TItan is falling through the cracks every day. Please, please, PLEASE, can anyone help Titan? We don't want him to die here at age 18 with no one ever coming to see him. We are SWAMPED, please we need help with him. Only a reputable, top-notch, expert group will be considered. No local yokels or backyard breeders or rednecks. Locals are fine, but not if you qualify as a yokel. :) He deserves higher standards than that.
