About Chikita $

Chikita is a striking young German Shepherd/Plott Hound mix with a two-tone, fluffy coat and plenty of personality. At just under a year old, she has come a long way from her early shy days—now she’s friendly, affectionate, and likes nothing more than being around people and other dogs. She loves body rubs, hugs, and always seems ready for another round of play in a dog group. Though she can have a few bashful moments and still gets nervous with loud noises or the sound of the bath, she’s quick to bounce back and keeps building her confidence. She’s polite in the house, doesn’t get on the furniture, and is quiet, having yet to bark or howl—though she’s vigilant enough to protect you from any TV villains. Her time in foster care has been filled with lakeside walks, toy time, and naps with her foster mom, and she’s shown she’s crate trained and can sleep through the night without issue. She loves water and watching birds as much as she loves bones and treats. Chikita gets along with other dogs and would be happy in a lively home where she can be part of the action yet have a calm spot when she needs it. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
