Joey is a beautiful 5-year-old sweetheart who’s been through a lot, but still has so much love to give. She was heartbreakingly surrendered to a high-kill shelter when her family moved out of the country, and because she was understandably scared and hiding under a blanket, the shelter decided she wasn’t coping well and scheduled her to be euthanized. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time. According to her previous family, Joey is incredibly sweet, friendly, and affectionate. She’s playful and talkative, loves watching birds from the window, and enjoys wand toys, catnip mice, and cozy cuddle sessions. She used to sleep in bed with her person and has a medium activity level—just the right balance of spunky and chill. Joey has never lived with other pets or kids, so we think she’d do best in a quiet home where she can feel safe and loved again. She may need a little time to warm up after all she’s been through, but once she feels secure, her loving, playful personality shines.
