About Colt

Colt is a striking, tricolor mix with a big frame and an outdoorsy spirit. He landed at the shelter after being found in the country and saw his two companions adopted before him. His DNA test confirms he's mostly Pit Bull, with splashes of Mastiff, Lab, Great Pyrenees, and a healthy dose of 'Supermutt.' While he's generally good with most dogs, Colt is a bit dog selective, so introductions are important. He isn't a match for homes with cats. Staff have worked on leash skills with him, and he's making progress, but a big, strong dog like him will need someone patient and confident. Colt doesn't stand out in the shelter environment, and it shows—he craves attention, time outside, and a person willing to give him a real chance. Though house training is still on his to-do list, Colt's joy and loyalty shine through. His adoption fee is fully sponsored for approved adopters. This happy guy is overdue for a home that gets him.
