About Blue

Blue carries a heavy sadness at the shelter—he feels out of place and isn’t thriving in the kennel. Almost two years old, Blue was adopted as a baby and recently returned when his family had to move to a place where dogs weren’t allowed. He’s handled the upheaval with quiet patience, but the stress is clear. Blue has a history of being good with kids, other dogs, and especially women, though he’ll need proper introductions to all family members (dogs included). Cats are a hard no—he cannot be in a home with them. Blue warms up to men more slowly but bonds strongly when given a little time. Out on walks, he’s usually easygoing on leash but his prey drive kicks in if a squirrel darts by, so a sturdy grip comes in handy. Blue just needs a home to let his guard down and trust again.
