About Loki

Your new best friend is just one click away. Loki is a happy boy who loves playing with friends, running outdoors, and giving hugs! He thrives in a fenced outdoor space and does well with most dogs after a proper introduction, especially other males, though he prefers to choose his own playmates. Loki has a fun dynamic with both older and younger canine companions, showing his playful and silly side as he bonds with his buddies, both human and dog alike. While Loki takes his time to warm up to new people, he is sensitive about handling and restraint, especially from strangers. He enjoys his freedom to roam and explore, but always finds his way back at the sanctuary, revealing his adventurous spirit albeit with imperfect recall. A country home that offers space, freedom, and a calm adult environment would be ideal for him. Loki can be affectionate and is known for giving great hugs. Having overcome previous physical trauma, including a serious tail and spinal injury, Loki is now fully healed and living joyfully when allowed to move freely. He prefers not to wear a harness and is happiest as a predominantly outdoor dog with a canine buddy. Come meet him at our sanctuary and see if he is the right fit for your country lifestyle! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
