She already knows commands like sit, lay down, take it, and drop it, making her a great training partner. Her high energy makes her best suited for an active household—especially those with experience handling large, energetic dogs, as she weighs in at around 55+ pounds. Lexi is highly food motivated, so treats are a useful tool for training and play. She enjoys hiking, jogging, and running, making her an ideal companion for outdoor enthusiasts. Currently, Lexi lives with a playmate and delights in group runs, creek romps, and pool dips at the sanctuary. She charms everyone with her affectionate nature, playful spirit, and her beautiful golden brindle coat. While Lexi adores being the center of attention and may do best as an only dog, she can share her home with canine friends if you are dog savvy, committed to training, and willing to set clear boundaries. She currently lives happily with three other dogs at the sanctuary, showing she can thrive in a social setting with the right support. Athletic and lean, she is made for wide open spaces and would flourish in a home that values activity and connection.
