About Paulo
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Paulo is a smart boy who pays close attention to people and responds thoughtfully to what you ask of him. With a fun personality, he’s both people-friendly and, for the most part, quite dog friendly. However, Paulo comes with some significant quirks. He has major resource guarding tendencies—he will bite if you attempt to take toys or food away from him. Brushing is not his favorite activity either, as he feels strongly about his fur! Paulo desires affection but is best matched with a seasoned and experienced adult who understands how to respect his boundaries and triggers. It’s recommended that Paulo remain as an outdoor dog, ideally in a setting where he can enjoy the company of other dogs but isn’t put in situations where his belongings might be taken—because he won’t let them go! Currently, Paulo lives at the Sanctuary where he thrives with consistent management of his triggers. He is only appropriate for a predictable, adult-only home willing to embrace a rewarding but slightly challenging relationship. Born under the caring sign of Cancer, Paulo may charm you with his sensitivity if you’re up for the challenge! Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
