About Johnny

Meet Johnny, a big and lovable Pit Bull Terrier mix who thinks he’s a lap dog! Despite his size, he has no clue just how big he is and can sometimes be a bit like a bull in a china shop. Johnny is friendly and social, readily greeting new people with enthusiasm. However, he does need some guidance on basic manners—he tends to jump up and can get a little mouthy when he’s excited. On a leash, Johnny pulls pretty hard, which suggests he’d benefit from a sturdy collar or harness and plenty of practice walking calmly. He already knows how to sit and is gentle when taking treats. While he initially feels a bit tense and unsure around other dogs, he warms up over time, ultimately becoming playful and eager to wrestle. Just keep in mind he needs a slow introduction to any new canine companions and would do best in a home without cats. Due to his exuberance, it’s recommended he goes to a home with older children. Born on June 27, 2025, he weighs around 70 lbs and is currently heartworm negative. Johnny’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his neutering, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm testing, and a free wellness exam. Ready to love this playful guy?
