About Crunchy Mojo

Crunchy Mojo is a medium-sized, 50-pound mix with streaks of Black Labrador, Terrier, and maybe a little something else. He is currently at the Milo Foundation Sanctuary because he doesn’t fit an easy mold—his energy, quirks, and sensitivities mean he’s best with seasoned dog people who appreciate a challenge. He does not belong in a household with kids, and he’s not an urban dog; what he wants most is a quieter, yard-filled life in a less hectic area. Crunchy is clever and affectionate with those he trusts. When he’s had a good run or hike, he’s content and mellow—nature and freedom work wonders for him. He walks well on leash using a Gentle Leader, knows an array of tricks, and practices good house manners—no couch-shredding or random chewing, just a nightly chew treat and some thoughtful mischief during fetch. He can be possessive and jealous, which has tripped him up around some people (young adults included) and led to personality clashes at home. This is why his best match is an adult-only, experienced adopter who can keep boundaries clear. Crunchy has done well living with some dogs at the sanctuary but is still reactive to large dogs, cats, and the odd mail carrier. He does not cope well with lots of people or intense noise (fireworks unsettle him). With daily structure, patience, and an open heart, he will be a loyal companion and even a gentle guardian for the right person or couple.
