Pepe is a yellow-tan, medium-sized Terrier mix who has spent several years growing more confident since arriving in San Pablo, CA with his sister. Nervous and timid around people, Pepe shines most when surrounded by other dogs, and he’s become inseparable from his buddy Chee Yoo. Ideally, Pepe and Chee Yoo will find a home together. Over time, Pepe has gone from hiding away to walking daily on a leash and opening up gradually to his caregivers, though he’s still not comfortable with strangers. Pepe will do best in a quiet, calm home with no children or only older ones, and his adopters must have prior dog experience. He isn't a candidate for first-time adopters and needs people who can give him patience and slow introductions.
