Honey is a 7- to 8-year-old Pittie mix who lives for peace and comfort. At about 60 lbs, she’ll gladly share your couch and appreciates a slow, cozy pace. Her gentle temperament sets her apart—once she warms up, you’ll see just how patient and kind she can be. Honey is easygoing around dogs of every size, though she prefers the calm company of adult and mellow dogs to rambunctious puppies. She doesn’t resource guard, happily giving up food or toys if someone approaches. She’s house trained, settles well in her crate, and has a soothing presence around kids, especially those 7 and up who respect her need for gentle energy. If a household gets too loud or busy, Honey’s instinct is to slip away for some quiet. New or sudden movements can rattle her, but that’s when she simply asks for space. While she’s still a bit on edge around men, she’s building trust and has started reaching out to her foster dad and older foster brother, showing a readiness to connect. Honey will thrive in a patient, calm home, ideally with another mellow, supportive dog. She responds best to gentle guidance and a stable routine. If you want a companion who is affectionate in her own subtle way and have a soft spot for the resilient, Honey could be the laid-back friend you’ve been searching for. Ready to fall in love?
