About Dax
Dax is a teacup Shepherd and Pittie mix looking for his perfect human. He’s about one year old and has a gentle, medium-energy temperament that makes him an excellent choice for someone wanting a loyal, snuggly sidekick. Dax is a total cuddle bug and gives soft kisses once he gets comfortable. He may be a little reserved at first, but his playful, goofy side comes out quickly if you give him some encouragement. Living with nine other dogs, Dax gets along well with his canine friends. He has shown some food guarding during human meals, though he listens when corrected and does best with structured feeding routines. Inside, his potty training is on point—he knows to go outside and can hold it reliably. Crate time isn’t his favorite, and he’ll let you know with a bit of “chatter” if you’re home, but he settles down. On walks, Dax is pleasant and isn’t reactive; he also hasn’t displayed aggression or separation anxiety. He loves toys, especially anything crinkly, and may indulge in a little backyard digging if left unattended. Dax would benefit from a loving home where he can keep building his confidence. He’d enjoy another friendly dog for company but could thrive as the only dog, provided he gets plenty of attention. He’s adaptable and affectionate—a fantastic fit for anyone wanting a loyal buddy with a silly, gentle side. Dax is being fostered in Kingwood, TX and can travel out of state.
