Detroit is a handsome young guy who has come such a long way from the shy terrified boy he once was. When he first arrived, he was extremely timid and unsure of people—but with time, patience, and a few tasty treats, he’s discovered that humans aren’t so bad after all. He recently spent time in a foster home, and after a couple of weeks to settle in, he truly came out of his shell. He grew to love spending time with his foster family, enjoying gentle affection, playtime, and lounging nearby. Unfortunately, he’s now returning to the rescue center, and we’re hoping he doesn’t lose the progress he’s worked so hard to make. Detroit is still very food- and toy-motivated (Churu is his weakness), and he enjoys playing and exploring. He gets along wonderfully with other cats, and having a confident feline friend in his new home would likely help him continue to thrive.
