About Isabella
Isabella is a 6-year-old, 8-pound Pomeranian mix who is completely blind and adjusting well despite her limitations. She does best in a quiet, stable home environment with minimal noise and no more than three other dogs, as too much activity can make her anxious and bark. Isabella is housetrained on a schedule, uses pee pads, and is crate trained. She bonds closely with people once she feels safe and will sit next to you contentedly. It takes her a bit of time to become confident in new spaces, but she adapts quickly as long as her surroundings stay consistent. Because Isabella was born with a micro eye defect and dry eye, she needs eye drops twice a day. She also has arthritis in her hips and legs, though she moves around well on pain management and just has a quirky gait. Her foster is looking for adopters who truly understand her needs and are local to the area for home checks. The rescue asks that adopters give Isabella at least two weeks to settle in without visitors, giving her space and time to build trust. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Isabella is currently in Cherry Hill, NJ and is looking for a patient person who can give her the quiet, predictable home she needs. Your new best friend is just one click away.

Pomeranian mixes like Isabella do best in calm, indoor environments where they can feel safe and secure. A stable home with minimal changes is ideal for Isabella given her blindness and sensitivity to noise.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Isabella, as a small Pomeranian mix, doesn't require a large backyard—short walks and supervised outdoor time are sufficient for her.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Pomeranian mixes can get along with gentle children, but Isabella's blindness and need for a quiet, predictable environment mean she is best suited to adult-only or older, calm children who understand her needs.
