About Max Urgent
Max is spending time in a foster home in LA, but he’s still in urgent need of a permanent place to land. He’s a 3-year-old German Shepherd, fully trained, with a calm and gentle spirit. Max spent a year in the west valley shelter where, after being overlooked for so long, he ended up on the euthanasia list—volunteers stepped in just in time, giving him a second shot at life. Over the past year, Max has transformed from a wary and distant dog into a friendly, playful companion. He gets along well with other dogs and teenage volunteers adore him, though he hasn’t been around small kids yet. He loves kiddie pools and consistently shows his happy, goofy side. Max knows some basic commands, is social with people, and is ready for a home that will keep up with his high energy and offer him stability. This large-breed guy deserves more than a temporary stop—he’s ready to go from kennel to couch. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
