About Drax

Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Drax! Drax is a lovable 7-8 year-old boy who weighs around 70 pounds. He’s currently listed as an American Cattle Dog, but he looks more like an American Bully. Drax has been waiting the longest for his forever home, and it’s a mystery why, because his heart is huge and he showers everyone he meets with affection and slobbery kisses. Drax recently enjoyed a day out at the park and Petco, showing off how well-behaved he is on a leash. He happily let people pass on the trail, wagging his tail and wearing a big grin the whole time. Even when another dog barked at him in the store, he remained composed and was a perfect gentleman. He also loves car rides. This goofy, friendly, and incredibly affectionate boy adores people and will eagerly try to crawl into your lap for cuddles. Drax isn’t fond of crates, but with training (and the rescue’s help providing a heavy-duty crate), he can adapt. He has coexisted with other dogs, but given his dominant tendencies, he would thrive best as the only dog in the household. Ready for a family of his own, Drax is always smiling and hoping to share all his love and happiness with the people who finally choose him. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
