About Pete
Pete's a sweet, friendly boy with a loving streak a mile wide. He came into rescue with his sibling Chip, and everyone who's met him says he melts right into your arms. As a small rat terrier/Australian cattle dog mix, Pete weighs about 20 lbs—easy to carry, but happiest cuddled up beside you. He's housetrained and crate trained, though he does best with another dog nearby, and he'd welcome a canine friend for company and play. Pete gets along with other dogs and is wonderfully gentle with people. He's got all his shots, is microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative, and kept up on preventatives. He does startle easily outside, so you'll need a physically fenced-in yard. Inside, he's all about warmth, snuggles, and companionship—especially when winter hits. Pete would thrive in a home that’s looking for an affectionate, loyal buddy and either has another dog or plenty of time to give. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
