Chip is a sweet, small-sized rat terrier/Australian cattle dog mix weighing around 25 lbs. He was rescued after being humanely trapped in November and has shown himself to be an affectionate cuddle bug who loves companionship. At just a year old, Chip gets along well with everyone and enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions. He's both house and crate trained, but prefers curling up next to you when you're home—he's happiest right by your side. He's fully up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped, as well as heartworm negative and kept on preventatives. Chip can be skittish outdoors, so he'll need a securely fenced yard and a family vigilant about doors and outdoor transitions. He'd also benefit from having a canine sibling.
