About Turner

Turner is a sweet, shy, and goofy Black Labrador Retriever mix trying his best to find his feet in the world. He spent his early life among many dogs but got little training or guidance. Even though he’s a big dog, that confidence is still coming in—but since entering foster care, Turner has overcome a lot. Early on, he froze at doorways and was unsure on a leash; now, he walks outside with less hesitation and is working hard on basic commands like “sit.” When he gets excited he’ll jump, but he’s improving all the time. Turner was always in the shadow of his outgoing sister, who has since been adopted, so he’s finally getting his turn to be noticed. He’s dog friendly and good with kids, though he may bark nervously when meeting new people until he feels safe. Cats are a different story—he’s currently reactive and will need slow, careful introductions if he is to live with one. What Turner needs is simple: patience, consistency, and a family who understands that rescue dogs may take time to blossom. In return, Turner offers loyalty and lots of heart. Ready to fall in love?
