About Turner
Your new best friend is just one click away. Turner is a charming two-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix with a heartwarming blend of sweetness, goofiness, and shyness. Though he grew up surrounded by many other dogs, Turner didn’t receive much early training or guidance. Despite his medium size, he’s still catching up on manners and confidence, but has already made inspiring progress in his foster home. Initially fearful of thresholds and leash walks, Turner has blossomed with patience and care—he now glides happily on walks and is learning commands like “sit.” In foster, Turner was always a bit reserved, often letting his more outgoing sister take the spotlight. Now that she’s adopted, it’s finally his chance to be a star! This loving boy needs someone who appreciates that rescue dogs thrive with time, support, and consistency. Turner is eager to learn, resilient, and already showing how wonderful he can become. Turner is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He loves kids but may be reserved around new faces, sometimes barking nervously until he feels safe. Turner is friendly with dogs and would benefit from slow, positive introductions to cats, as he is currently a bit reactive. Turner will flourish with a family willing to be patient and consistent as he continues to grow in confidence and skills. He’s ready to become a devoted companion to someone who will give him the loving forever home he deserves. Click apply to start the adoption process.
