About Willow
Willow is one of two kittens that arrived July 8th, 2021 with mama Wren. They were all three rescued from an owner who kept them in a small outdoor kennel and the owner threatened to euthanize them if they were not removed. They were found sitting in water in the bottom of the kennel as it was not protected from rain. Willow had incurred an injury to her front paw that healed while she was with us, but use of her paw did not return. She displays no signs of pain and is very agile. She climbs, runs, and plays vigorously with other cats. Since her mobility is adequate and she demonstrates no pain, amputation has not been considered at this time. X-rays have been taken and surgeons were consulted about and alternative limb sparing surgical procedure that would preserve her limb, but it remains to be determined what – if anything – will be done about her dysfunctional paw. Her adopter will need to be sensitive to her circumstances. You can submit your adoption application through Petfinder or this link: https://txcat.org/adopt/
