Lorelai is a young German Shepherd/Hound mix who started out shy but now stands confidently at the center of the action. She’s about a year old, with short tricolor fur and a sharp intellect that keeps her foster family entertained. Lorelai has developed a unique talent for unboxing and a passion for landscaping—her favorite pastime involves munching on grass and weeds, convinced she’s helping with the yardwork. Quick to learn house rules, she’s both sweet-natured and easy to correct. She thrives on affection, loving to be rocked and having her belly rubbed, and after playtime is perfectly content to curl up with you for a movie. Lorelai does best in a home with another playful, large-breed dog to guide her, and would be happiest where she isn’t left alone or crated all day. She’s suited for homes with older kids, as long as the handler is experienced with large breeds—she doesn’t always realize how big she’s getting.
