About Thor
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Thor is a large senior sweetheart with a big heart who has endured quite a bit of heartbreak in his life. After being found tied to a park bench and ending up on the euthanasia list at a county shelter for refusing to eat, Thor was fortunate to be welcomed into the care of a loving foster home. Now, he’s rediscovering joy and searching for a forever family where he can truly thrive. Despite his age, Thor is still brimming with life. He adores playing fetch (and always brings the ball back!), enjoys every car ride, and finds comfort in his crate and favorite toys. Thor is house trained, gentle with older children, and does well with cats. His experience with other dogs is unknown, so careful and slow introductions are recommended. Thor needs a calm, patient home—perhaps with older kids or quiet adults. A secure, fenced 6 ft yard is ideal, and he will do best where companionship is prioritized over constant activity. While it may take him some time to feel safe with new people, once he does, Thor is remarkably affectionate, loyal, and eager to please. Thor is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to spend his golden years in a life of comfort, safety, and love. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Thor
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Labrador Retriever/Shar-Pei mixes typically do best in a calm and loving home with enough space to play and relax. A secure, fenced yard is ideal, especially for larger breeds, and a quiet household helps them feel comfortable.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A large, securely fenced yard is important for this breed mix, as Labs are active and Shar-Peis appreciate having their own space. Regular outdoor activities help keep them happy and healthy.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
This breed mix is generally gentle with older children, making them a good fit for families with respectful kids. Supervision is always advised, especially around younger children.
