About Scout
Scout is a striking black and white pit bull terrier mix who has already shown a lot of heart since being pulled from the euthanasia list in Contra Costa. Around a year old and roughly medium-sized, Scout has taken his time adjusting in foster care and is slowly coming out of his shell. He’s especially fond of women and is now learning men can be friends, too. His background is mostly a mystery, but it's evident he missed out on dependable care and real affection until now. Scout has had all his vet work done, is neutered, crate trained, and appears to be house trained. His personality is easygoing, quick to trust, and eager to connect. He warms up well to other dogs, and another canine companion in the home might be the ideal boost to his confidence. Scout gets along with children and would do best with folks willing to offer patience as he blossoms into the devoted friend he wants to be. He’s looking for a grounded household with a spot for a dog who is equal parts heart and potential. Ready to make Scout part of your story? Your new best friend is just one click away.
