About Oakley
Meet Oakley, a vibrant and social Pit Bull Terrier who’s full of life! At five years old, she’s looking for a special home where she can be the center of attention. Oakley adores sunny spots, long walks, and snuggles with her favorite humans. Her happy demeanor shines through when she’s playing with her rope toys or chewing on synthetic bones. However, Oakley does require some special considerations. She has a history of human bite incidents, but with the help of a professional trainer and medications overseen by a veterinary behaviorist, she has made great strides and hasn’t bitten anyone since early 2024. She thrives best as the only pet in a home and is not suited for families with children. Her current family is rehoming her due to a new baby arriving, believing she’d be happier in a quieter environment. They are dedicated to ensuring her next placement is a perfect fit, providing a full history of her training and care.
