About Joey
Joey, or Jojo if you like, is a 5-year-old, medium-sized mixed pit bull terrier living in Minneapolis, MN. He’s had a tough start—survived an attack that left him with an injured eye and half an ear—but that’s just part of his story, not the whole of it. Joey is a shy guy at first, preferring to take things slow until he feels safe. Once he warms up, he’s very gentle and sweet, turning all his attention to whoever his person is. He’s completely house trained and finds comfort in his kennel, making transitions especially smooth. With dogs, Joey prefers not to share his home; he’s best as the only dog, mostly for his own peace of mind. He doesn’t react to other dogs but their presence makes him nervous. Because of his gentle nature but slight nervousness, Joey would do best around older kids—think teenagers and up. He’s unknown with cats. Joey is easygoing and eager to please, content to be your trusted companion. He loves quietly, with a little bit of caution, but he’s ready for a fresh chapter with someone who sees past his scars. People can’t help but admire his handsome tri-colored coat and soft eyes. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
