About Heath

Heath is a gray and white butterball with a memorable story. He was once part of a large feral colony rescued from an abandoned trailer after their senior caretakers passed away. Out of the twenty cats saved from Buena, Heath is the last one waiting for a real home. His past kept him a bit distant from people, but over time he’s grown more relaxed and eager for a home of his own. Heath is still a little shy, yet in the comfort of a safe and patient environment, he opens up and truly wants to connect. He’ll need someone who understands that cats with a background like his just need time and gentle encouragement to rebuild trust. Once settled, Heath will make a loyal companion and a gentle presence in your space. He'd benefit from a little attention to his diet, as he carries a few extra pounds, but nothing some light food and regular play can't help with. Heath does well with other cats and must remain indoors to stay safe and thrive. Adopters should expect a gentle, gradual adjustment and commit to giving patience as he transitions to home life. Every rescue cat comes with a story, and Heath’s next chapter could be with you. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
