About Auggie

Auggie is a young male cat looking to find his forever home after a challenging start. He arrived at the Regional Animal Services of King County on July 6, 2026, and spent time in a loving foster home where he learned to feel safe and secure. Initially a bit nervous and defensive, Auggie is now ready to meet potential adopters who can offer him patience and understanding as he adjusts to a new environment. This large Domestic Short Hair is social and chatty. He enjoys following his foster mom around, always wanting to be a part of the action. Auggie loves to play and chase toys, but he also cherishes quieter moments spent nestled by a window watching the world go by. His gentle nature shines through when he purrs happily during chin scratches and petting. Although he sometimes feels surprised by affectionate gestures like forehead kisses, he’s on the path to appreciating them. A family that will take things slow with him will find that once Auggie warms up, he becomes a devoted companion. If you’re ready to give Auggie the time and love he deserves, please fill out the foster interest form to meet him!
