About Bones

Bones wandered up to a volunteer outside a restaurant, sweet and hungry. He quickly made friends over food and showed he wasn’t your average skittish stray. The staff said he’d been hanging around and was a gentle cat, just too wary to be caught by hand, so the team set a humane trap and brought him to WARM. Bones is easing into life at the rescue and healing from the rough scratches on his nose after being caught. He really doesn’t enjoy being closed in—carriers are not his thing—but otherwise, he’s an easygoing soul who craves attention and pets. Recently neutered and with a clean bill of health, Bones weighs about 6 lbs and is estimated at 3.5 months old. He tests negative for FIV/FeLV. He’s house trained, playful, and takes comfort in gentle affection but is still getting used to being picked up, generally freezing instead of fighting. He’s fine seeing dogs from a distance but keeps space until he feels secure, and other cat intros will happen once he’s healed. Bones would do best with a quiet room to settle into at first while he adjusts to new surroundings. Bones is looking for a patient adopter ready for a warm, friendly companion.
