About Mayo

Mayo is 11 months old and has a gentle presence shaped by a rough start fending for himself outdoors. He’s cautious when meeting new people—a little reserved at first—but once Mayo feels safe, he transforms into a warm lap cat who will curl up with you at night and rarely lets a snug moment go to waste. He’s a survivor, having lost an eye while struggling alone, but bounced back after surgery to close his eye socket. That procedure was completed in late February 2025, and he’s healed up remarkably well since then. Mayo is happiest when he can quietly bond at his own pace, and will be a sweet, quiet companion for a patient adopter. He gets along with other cats but doesn’t have house training figured out yet. Mayo is a Pisces—a sign known for empathy and affection—traits that shine through once you earn his trust. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
