About Charcoal
Charcoal is a goofy, brindle American Bully mix with a heart bigger than his blocky head. Surrendered through no fault of his own, Charcoal lost his home when his family was evicted. Despite the upheaval, he hasn't lost his pure, tail-wagging optimism. This guy adores his people—craving attention, always eager to be near you, and trailing after you in the yard like a four-legged shadow with zero respect for personal space. Structure is new for Charcoal, but he’s a quick learner. He’s motivated by food and praise, making him easy to train with consistency. He hasn’t mastered all the basics yet, but his willingness to please is unmistakable. In his kennel, he’s totally non-destructive—blankets and toys are safe. He’s polite on leash, curious, and embraces new challenges head-on, whether it’s leaping onto obstacles or braving his very first nail trim and bath. Even the vet’s office—he handled it with grace, some nerves, and a cheerful attitude. Charcoal’s social skills are improving fast. He played beautifully with a young female dog and shows serious “playgroup king” potential. With his strong, enthusiastic energy, he isn’t a good fit for households with small children, but teens or older kids? Absolutely. He wants a household that can provide lots of exercise and enrichment, possibly a canine buddy (pending proper introductions), and definitely a couch big enough for two. If you need a loyal sidekick who will remind you to celebrate every walk and snuggle, Charcoal might have your heart from the start. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
