About Zara
Zara has grown a lot in recent months, gaining confidence and filling out nicely. She looks forward to pack walks and has warmed up noticeably to men—something that once made her anxious. Eating remains a private affair for her; she prefers to take treats and enjoy them alone, and mealtimes are often best when she's given space or fed outside. Around visitors, Zara seeks out attention and enjoys their company. She's social with other dogs but prefers to be either the sole dog or paired with a male, as she can be a bit bossy with female dogs. Her bark is high-pitched but not excessive, and she's protective of her home without crossing into aggression. Squirrels and cats don't faze her much. Thunderstorms are another story—Zara will climb right into bed with you for comfort if the weather gets rough. She's content to rest in her crate but doesn't like it when the door is closed. Although she’s still a tad timid with men, she no longer hides and her progress has been steady. A female-led home, particularly with no other dogs or just a calm male, might suit her best.
