About Duke
Click apply to start the adoption process. Duke is a striking German Shepherd dog searching for a devoted forever home. He is eager to please and finds motivation in toys, making him a fun and interactive companion. In the house, Duke displays respect and agility, and he enjoys relaxing rides in a vehicle, comfortably settled in his crate. His love for water is evident—he never misses a chance to splash around or chase fireflies and even flies. Duke is fully house trained, letting you know when he needs to go outside by standing by the door, and he often voluntarily enters his crate to relax. Duke may show some reactivity to other dogs, so careful introductions are essential. He thrives as the only dog in a quiet home, ideally with a single person or a couple who can dedicate time to his daily routine and ample exercise. While he is drawn to deer, rabbits, and squirrels, his real passion is chasing smaller critters like fireflies. Duke has not spent time with cats, and a cat household may not be the best fit. Recent wellness exams gave him a clean bill of health, and he was extremely friendly with both the veterinarian and staff. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
