About Scout
Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Allow us to introduce Scout, an adorable and energetic Terrier/Chihuahua/Cattle Dog type mix who weighs about 20 pounds. Scout’s journey started as an unclaimed stray, but his cheerful spirit shines through each day. He seeks attention from people and adores being around others, always eager to please by showing off his sit and paw tricks—sometimes even when not requested! Scout is not a fan of other dogs and will need a home where he is the only canine companion. His lively personality means he has plenty of energy to burn, and while he’s still learning proper leash manners, he loves sprinting in the yard, chasing toys, and following new scents in the grass. He can become mouthy with the leash when excited, so continued positive reinforcement is important for his walks. A fenced yard would be ideal for his enthusiasm and need to exercise. Because of his reactivity to other dogs, Scout requires a home without other dogs or children, ensuring a peaceful and safe environment where he can thrive. He was born under the sign of Gemini, which means he’s likely to be curious and playful—always up for fun and learning new tricks! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
