Sprocket is a wonderful cat, just waiting for you to sit down so he can sit on your lap. Every cat lover knows the secret of black cats . . . they have the best personalities of any breed. They are friendly, playful, and funny. Sprocket also talks a lot! He cries for human attention when he is lonely. He was never let into the house by his prior owners, and they moved away and left him more than a year ago. He is really looking for human protectors; a family. He may be a good fit for another cat friend, but would definitely thrive as an only cat. Sprocket is FIV positive, however, many kitties with FIV live as long and as healthfully as other cats, as long as they receive good nutrition and good medical care. FIV is very difficult to transmit between cats, and poses no health risk to humans. It is spread primarily among cats through deep, penetrating bite wounds. Sprocket could live as the only kitty in the house, with other FIV+ kitties, or even with kitties who don't have the virus if they are not aggressive. Approx.
