Stewart was found as a stray and arrived severely underweight and battling heartworm, but perseverance led to a clear diagnosis: Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Thanks to special enzyme supplements on his meals, Stewart is finally able to digest his food and steadily gain weight. He's also taken care of his dental issues and has begun heartworm treatment, so he’s well on his way to better health. Stewart’s personality is calm and steady. He’s happy to follow you around the house or stroll quietly alongside you on walks. At heart, he’s a sweet senior dog who just wants to be close and enjoy gentle companionship. Stewart gets along with other dogs and cats, but his experience with children is unknown—adopters with kids over 10 would be best.
