About Sadie

Make their next chapter their best one yet. Sadie is an energetic whirlwind ready to fill your home with fun and affection! At just 6 months old, this Shih Tzu/Poodle mix tips the scale at around 6 pounds, boasting a charming medium coat of black fur. She's still picking up the ropes when it comes to house manners, but her curiosity and zest for play shine through as she romps with other dogs and enjoys a good cuddle between bursts of activity. Prepare for some silly moments—Sadie is known for shredding any paper she can get her paws on and delights in gentle finger nibbles, making her a truly entertaining companion. She’s outgoing, greets everyone as a friend, and seems to respond to her name, making her both personable and eager to belong. Sadie was born with a liver shunt and is scheduled for surgery on November 18th at the University of Tennessee vet school. Her adoption fee is $600, but if you can take on a significant portion—or all—of her surgical expenses and meet the adoption criteria, her fee may be waived. Please note, due to her young age, the Seniors for Seniors policy applies: applicants aged 70 or above won’t be considered for dogs younger than 7. Applicants in that age group are encouraged to consider older dogs who still have plenty of love to give. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
