About Mardi

Mardi came into care after being rescued with an injury to her back leg, which thankfully is healing well with some TLC. She’s a petite adult, just over a year and a half old, still regrowing her short calico coat after time spent outdoors. Mardi tested heartworm positive—a rare challenge for cats—which means she’ll need to stay inside, on regular prevention for life to stay safe and healthy. There’s no cure, so an adopter will need to be mindful about her ongoing care. Despite her rough start, Mardi is gentle and open to affection when approached calmly. She appreciates slow, kind handling, and greets new attention with quiet sweetness. Mardi is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and negative for FIV/FeLV. Right now, as her paw finishes healing, she enjoys a calm environment and will thrive in a loving indoor-only home. If you’re ready to help Mardi start her next chapter, she’s waiting for the right family in Tyler, TX. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
