About Nova

Nova is an 8-month-old German Shepherd mix who’s a bit smaller than you might expect from the breed, but her personality more than fills the room. Rescued as a pup, her foster quickly realized she’s deaf, but lack of hearing hasn’t slowed Nova for a second. She’s picked up hand signals fast and is learning with an E collar—she’s quick on the uptake and eager for direction. Nova gets along well with other dogs and children. She can be a little unsure around cats, but shows no aggression—just needs a bit of time to warm up. She has a short black and tan coat that’s easy to care for and comes house trained. Nova will be adopted out with her collar and a paid session with a trainer to help you both continue her progress together. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
