About Dash

They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Dash is a handsome young pit bull terrier who landed at the rescue with his sister after an unexpected start in someone’s yard. Despite a rough beginning, Dash quickly adjusted to the joys of living in a home surrounded by love and care. At about 9 months old and 40 lbs as of early October, he’s discovering just how great life can be when you have people to love and a world to explore. Dash is a typical pittie sweetheart who wants to stay as close to his person as possible. He’s excelling at learning his house manners—crate trained, making big strides with housebreaking, and showing impressive discipline by sticking mostly to his toys for chewing! For a pup his age, Dash is pretty laid-back, content to relax with you during downtime or stretch out in the sunshine when there’s nothing exciting going on. He absolutely loves to play fetch, dart around the yard, and cuddle up for a snuggle session after his adventures. He’s great with dogs, cats, and kids, but is working through a bit of a fear of men, with gentle encouragement from kind male friends who are showing him how trustworthy people can be. Every day, Dash’s confidence blossoms a little more, and he thrives on making new friends and exploring everyday adventures. There’s so much to love about Dash’s big heart and gentle nature, and he’s more than ready to find the family who’ll help write his next chapter. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
