From Lexie’s foster mom: Lexie is a playful 2 year old lab mix weighing about 45 lbs with a smart and affectionate personality. She is completely house and crate trained though due to her anxiety she does do better just being placed in an open room with a window. We just put up a baby gate in a single room when we leave and she does great. Lexie loves long walks, zooming around the yard, playing with her favorite toys and just lounging on the couch with her favorite people! Lexie knows commands like "sit", "paw" and we're working on "lay down". She is treat motivated and eager to learn. Lexie is on a daily anxiety medication which helps her stay calm and confident. Lexie will do best in a home where someone is home more than not as she thrives when her people are around. She needs slow introductions to other dogs but does well when introduced correctly! In her previous foster she lived with a child and did fine.
