About Lexie
Lexie is a playful, affectionate 2-year-old black Lab mix with a strong, smart personality and about 45 lbs of energy. She’s house and crate trained, though she actually prefers being left in an open room with a window—just put up a baby gate and she’ll do fine. Lexie loves her long walks, yard zoomies, playing with her toys, and spending quiet time with her people on the couch. She knows how to sit, offer her paw, and is learning “lay down.” Treats get her attention fast, so she’s easy to motivate for new tricks and routines. Lexie is on daily anxiety medication, which helps her feel steady. She will do best in a home where someone is around more often than not—she really thrives with company and structure. Lexie is good with other dogs if introductions are slow and managed, and she previously lived with a child and did just fine. She’s not suitable for a home with cats. If you’re after a smart, loving companion who brings energy and heart to every day, Lexie could be a perfect fit. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
