AvailableElle is a small Australian Shepherd with a striking blue merle coat and long hair, currently located in Austin, TX. She is an adult female who's been spayed and is up to date on her vaccinations. Elle is well house trained and stands out for her classic Aussie intelligence and independence. She does best as a single dog and has a strong preference for yards with space to play and chase frisbees.
About Elle
Elle, affectionately nicknamed Ellie, is a compact mini Aussie with all the drive and wit of a much larger working dog. She’s five years old and weighs just 12 pounds, packing surprising energy and agility into a small frame. After losing her owner, Elle is seeking someone who appreciates her breed and independent spirit. She likes attention on her own terms and can be unpredictable about physical affection—sometimes loving, sometimes quick to withdraw. Elle has a bite history and is not suited for homes with children. Her world revolves around frisbee chasing, so she needs a fenced yard where she can run safely. Elle is very well house trained, confident on a leash, and stays neutral around other dogs when out walking. In a foster home with multiple dogs, Elle makes it clear she’d rather be the center of attention; she’s quick to guard her treats and space. She’d much prefer being the only dog. Elle also enjoys chasing squirrels and birds, so we don’t recommend her for homes with cats. Despite her small size, she carries herself like a true working dog, looking for a person who understands her quirks as much as her talents. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Mini Australian Shepherds like Elle need regular outdoor activity, ideally with a yard big enough for chasing toys and burning energy. Apartment living is possible only if frequent walks and vigorous play are part of her daily routine.
