About Mona
Mona survived the kind of heartbreak most dogs never know. When she arrived in Palm Coast, FL, her frame was skeletal, a massive growth weighed down her paw, and it was clear she'd suffered real neglect. Even so, Mona never lost hope. Now after months of gentle care, she's healthy, the mass is gone, and she enjoys simple joys like beach walks—likely her first ever. For a Doberman mix of 10–11 years, Mona is deeply affectionate. She wants to soak up all the attention that passed her by for so long. She's kind and gentle, but as an older girl, she values calm. Mona does fine with other mellow, senior dogs, but would love being an only pet just as much. She’s house trained and carries a quiet gratitude about her—this dog knows the meaning of a second chance. Mona needs a peaceful home, ideally with adopters who value her steady, loving personality and will make her final years comfortable and full of dignity. Mona is the rare dog whose gratitude is felt every day. Click apply to start the adoption process.
