About Marissa
Marissa is a resilient yellow Labrador Retriever/terrier mix whose story starts with selfless love—she was found alone in a field, bravely caring for her 13 newborn puppies despite being thin and exhausted. She took to shelter life with grit and devotion, nurturing her litter until all but two of her pups were adopted. For three years since her rescue, Marissa has watched other dogs come and go while she waits patiently for a family willing to give her the same devotion she showed her puppies. Her days are brightened by affection and walks in the sun, but a kennel can’t offer the warmth and companionship she craves. Marissa brings a genuinely affectionate energy—she lights up around people and enjoys nothing more than a cuddle or a stroll by your side. She does need to be the only animal in your home but will repay your loyalty with unwavering love. Around 75 lbs, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped, Marissa is ready for comfort and security. She’s eager for a place in someone’s heart and home where she can finally settle in.
