About Zoey

Zoey is a sweet, shy girl who forms deep bonds with her chosen people. She won’t be the life of the party, but once you’re part of her circle, she’s a loyal companion for life. Meeting strangers isn’t her favorite, but she makes up for it with affection for those she trusts. Zoey connects with her humans through attentive eye contact and has a natural recall—she sticks close without being clingy. Training comes easily, especially since she’s food motivated, and a little guidance will take her far. Her early days were tough; she was likely abandoned, spent weeks fending for herself, and was eventually saved after running loose with her buddy, Joey. Zoey now gets excited for canine playmates and drops her shyness completely with other dogs—she truly shines in canine company and loves to play and run. Around the house, she’s calm, patient, and crate trained. House training is underway, and she’s working on her leash skills. Zoey’s foster says she’s grateful for her second chance and is ready for a quiet, loving family—ideally with a yard and regular walks. She gets along great with dogs but is not a fit for cats. Zoey deserves to feel safe, included, and loved. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
