Meet Sallie Jo – A Shy but Sweet Little Lady Sallie Jo is a gentle soul with the softest heart. While we don’t know her exact age, she seems to be a young dog with plenty of life and love ahead of her. At about 45 pounds, she’s a petite girl who is still finding her confidence in the world. New people and situations can make Sallie Jo a little nervous at first, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into the sweetest companion. She absolutely loves other dogs and gains so much courage from following their lead. For that reason, Sallie Jo would do best in a home with another confident pup to show her the ropes and help her continue to grow. She’s already potty trained and crate trained, and she’s happiest when she has a cozy spot to feel safe. Once she feels comfortable, she shows her affectionate, gentle side—leaning in for pets and soaking up quiet companionship. She has made so much progress in the short time we have known her, we are confident she will continue to explore and trust. Sallie Jo may need a little extra time to adjust, but the love and loyalty she’ll give in return are worth every moment.
