About Coco

Coco is a female American Staffordshire Terrier with a beautiful gray, blue, and brindle short coat. Recently surrendered because of a housing issue, Coco’s been having a tough time adjusting to shelter life. She’s very sweet but quite shy, especially around all the new sights and sounds. Walking outside can make her a little nervous, yet she seems to perk up a bit after stretching her legs. Once she’s in a stable, quiet home, expect her true affectionate nature—and likely more energy—to shine through. Coco needs a home where she is the only animal. The staff and volunteers are still getting to know her, and she’s slowly starting to come out of her shell. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Coco

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

American Staffordshire Terriers like Coco enjoy a fenced yard or regular access to outdoor exercise, but they can adapt to apartment life with good walks and playtime.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Coco's breed can be good with older, respectful children if properly socialized, but because Coco is shy and prefers to be the only animal, mature children or adult-only homes may be a better fit.
