About Luna
Click apply to start the adoption process. Luna is a beautiful female Shepherd mix, born on May 10, 2021. After another failed placement, she has found herself back at the shelter, still searching for her perfect forever home. Luna is a sweet dog with a touch of gray starting to show, but don’t let that fool you—she has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life ahead. She would be an ideal companion for someone active, as she has a bit of extra weight and would thrive with regular walks and playtime. Luna does well with other dogs and has enjoyed playgroups at the shelter. She sometimes resource guards her person; however, this is something that manageable with guidance and training. Luna is just waiting for the right fit to give all her love. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Luna
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Shepherd mixes generally do well in homes that offer plenty of space, such as houses with fenced yards, but they can also adapt to active families in apartments if they receive enough daily exercise and mental stimulation.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Shepherd mix benefits from access to a securely fenced yard, but daily walks and playtime can substitute for a yard if space is limited. Regular outdoor activity is important for their physical and mental health.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Shepherd mixes are often good with children, particularly when raised with them, though supervision is recommended, especially with younger kids. Early socialization and training help promote positive interactions.
