When Valli ended up at a shelter the shelter folks knew she was a very special girl and they held on to her. They waited and Valli waited and waited. The days turned turned into weeks and then months. A wonderful gal had Valli on her own heart. She just couldn't let Valli languish. It was also determined that Valli was heartworm positive and would need expensive heartworm treatment. With the generosity of a good friend and we're hoping with more contributions through Shamrock, Valli's heartworm treatment will be covered. That ride home from a shelter to a home. That was the best!! But there is the issue of her heart. It needs tending! This 140 pound spayed girl (2 and half years old) is the sweetest. She doesn't know she's a big girl...she just knows she particularly loves humans (would thrive as an only pet) and absolutely is looking for the "Snuggler Family." She's sure that YOU are out there. Valli's situation has always been temporary and two fold. To get her out of the shelter and began the necessary treatment. But she really needs a family who will follow through (with the vet's guidance and our support) for the rest of her heartworm treatment. Valli deserves to finally exhale.
